Bayshore Recycling Corp and its affiliated companies (Coastal Metal Recycling Corp; ESMI of NJ, LLC, Montecalvo Disposal Services, Montecalvo Contracting Corp and Recycling Technology Development, LLC) are located on a waterfront and rail served industrial parcel in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Bayshore is a NJDEP licensed Class-B Recycling operation. The facility accepts concrete, asphalt, brick, and block all of which are processed and transformed into marketable products. Effectively—it is an urban quarry that reduces the impact on natural resources by “Green” manufacturing of aggregates. For the construction and transportation industry, the facility represents a model to the emerging conscience of green building, alternative energy, and recycling practices. The facility has been affectionately referred to by NJDEP Commissioner, Lisa Jackson, as the “Mega-Mall for Recycling.” Bayshore and its affiliated companies’ growth and success have significantly contributed to the reinvigorating recycling effort in New Jersey. Collectively, the operations remove whatever materials can be recycled from the traditional waste stream and landfill only the items that are considered true waste. The Bayshore team is constantly challenged to find beneficial uses for recyclable materials formerly classified as waste. This vision includes utilizing some of these products as fuel for alternative energy. The Eco-Park/Energy Campus has accomplished the monumental task of bringing together all levels of government, education, and private industry to cohesively preserve limited natural resources, reduce diesel emissions by creative transportation methods, fight global warming, and protect the environment for our children’s future.
